<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Staff's recommendation is to increase Mr. Laskin's fee to $75,000, and based <br />on approval from the Executive Director, to amend his contract to allow him to <br />retain and compensate any necessary witnesses required to litigate these <br />issues. <br /> <br />It was moved by Agency Member McGuigan, seconded by Agency Member Pulido and <br />carried unanimously (6:0) that the Redevelopment Agency direct the Agency <br />Attorney to prepare and authorize the Chairman and Executive Director to <br />execute an amendment to modify and to increase the compensation limit of the <br />present consultant agreement with Laskin & Graham, Richard Laskin as <br />principal, for legal services rendered on the Santa Ana Promenade (formerly <br />Schurgin Development). <br /> <br />ASSIGNMENT AGREEMENT AND AMENDED DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH <br />JAMES W. CONNOR OF SANTA ANA, INC. <br /> <br />Cynthia Nelson gave the presentation regarding the agreements with <br />James W. Connor at the Santa Ana Auto Mall. <br /> <br />In response to a question from Agency Member Pulido, Ms. Nelson stated that <br />this agreement is an assignment of the original agreement with J. R. Wood. <br /> <br />Ms. Nelson then provided the Agency with a status report of each of the <br />remaining parcels in the Auto Mall. <br /> <br />It was moved by Agency Member McGuigan, seconded by Agency Member May and <br />carried unanimously (6:0) that the Redevelopment Agency adopt Resolution No. <br />89-04, a Resolution consenting to the assignment of the Disposition and <br />Development Agreement for Parcel No.5 of the Santa Ana Auto Mall by <br />J. R. Wood to James W. Connor and approving an Amended Disposition and <br />Development Agreement for Parcel No.5 with James W. Connor; and, approve the <br />conceptual development plans proposed by James W. Connor for Parcel No.5 at <br />the Santa Ana Auto Mall. <br /> <br />AGENCY SECRETARY REPORT <br /> <br />It was moved by Agency Member Pulido, seconded by Agency Member McGuigan and <br />carried unanimously (6:0) that the Redevelopment Agency instruct the Agency <br />Secretary to enter into the Minutes: Pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54954.2, the Agenda for the March 20,1989 Special Meeting of the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency was posted on the door of the Council Chambers, 22 Civic <br />Center Plaza, at 3 p.m. on March 14,1989. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />At 5:49 p.m. the Agency Members recessed to Closed Session in Room 147 of the <br />Council Chambers.
