<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />At 5:44 p.m., the Agency Secretary announced that the Redevelopment Agency was <br />recessing to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(A) to <br />confer with its attorney regarding pending litigation which has been initiated <br />formally, and to which the Redevelopment Agency is a party, to wit: <br /> <br />Madril!:al vs <br /> <br />the Communi tv RedeveloDment A2encv <br /> <br />REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />The Agency Members reconvened in the Council Chambers at 5:48 p.m. with all <br />Agency Kembers present. It was moved by Agency Member Pulido, seconded by <br />Agency Kember May and carried unanimously (6:0) that the Redevelopment Agency <br />authorize settlement as follows: <br /> <br />Settlement was awarded in the amount of $7,517 <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS/ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />Agency Member Norton discussed an article which appeared in the Register <br />newspaper regarding housing assistance for the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove <br />and Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Chairman Young referred to a letter from the Foothill Community Association. <br />He informed the Council that they should be prepared at the next Council <br />meeting to give staff guidance on whether or not to respond to the letter. <br /> <br />Agency Member Norton asked if he should abstain because he owns property in <br />the area. City Attorney Cooper replied that he should probably abstain if the <br />decision regarding the annexation will have a financial impact on his property <br />in the amount of $1,000 or more. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Agency, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 5:54 p.m. to the next regular meeting of the City Council, <br />May 21, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />, Chairman <br /> <br />-3- <br />
