The Senior Planner presented the staff report and recommendation. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. <br /> <br />Robert Sarno, Attorney for applicant, 433 N. Camden Drive, Beverly Hills, <br />spoke in favor of the Appeal and Parking Waiver. <br /> <br />There were no other speakers on the matter. The Mayor closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Following discussion on the possibility of forming an assessment district for <br />construction of a parking lot for downtown business patrons and the need to <br />develop a comprehensive parking policy for the downtown area, MOTION was <br />made by Serrato, seconded by Markel, to continue the matter for 30 days <br />and direct staff to assist the applicant in exploring alternatives for <br />provision of required parking. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, Serrato, Ward, Yamamoto <br />None <br />Bricken <br /> <br />CA 13.7 <br /> <br />The Council recessed from 9:48 p.m. to 9:55 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPEAL NO. 420 The Mayor announced that this <br />M.E. 80-32 - 1510 W. EDINGER was the time and place for the <br />APPROVED public hearing of Notice of <br /> Exemption and Appeal No. 420 - <br />Minor Exception 80-32 to allow off-sale beer and wine in a delicatessen <br />within a new retail center at 1510 West Edinger Avenue in the C5 District. <br /> <br />The Senior Planner presented the staff report and recommendation. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. <br /> <br />The following persons spoke in favor of the Appeal and Minor Exception: <br /> <br />Ralph Murietta, Applicant, 1607 S.
