The <br />development will also provide a 35O-space parking <br />facility, It is anticipated that the owner participation <br />agreement will be executed by April, 1978; acquisi- <br />tion would begin immediately and construction is <br />estimated 10 start by January, 1979, with completion <br />appr\,ximately 15 months later, <br />Street Improvements. The Agency, by means of <br />a Federal grant, recenlly funded the aforementioned <br />parking facility in conjunction with the proposed ex- <br />pansion of Fashion Square, Bond proceeds will be <br />used ,to finance street access from Main Streel into <br />the parking facility, Bond proceeds will also be used <br />10 install underground drainage at key intersections <br />to eliminate surface channels in order to improve <br />traffic flow from the central core area to Ihe free- <br />ways, <br />The Agency will contribute a portion of the cost <br />towards computerizing all of the central city's traffic <br />signals for the purpose of expediting traffic move- <br />ment in and out of the central core area, <br />The Agency is currently funding a major upgrad- <br />ing of street lights in the downtown area and Bond <br />proceeds will also be used for that purpose, <br />
