Following <br /> discussion, the Council agreed <br />unanimously to consider inputs from the cable TV firms at 6:00 p.m. on <br />March 10, 1981, following the declaration of election results. CA 130.4 <br /> <br />DINNER RECESS <br />RECONVENED <br /> <br />At 4:05 p.m., Council recessed to <br />dinner at Daifuku's Restaurant, <br />1120 West Seventeenth Street. <br /> <br />The meeting was reconvened in the Council Chambers at 7:35 p.m., with the <br />same members present. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />by Councilman Luxembourger. <br /> <br />The Presentation of Colors and <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />were given by the Girl Scouts of <br />America. The invocation was given <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Dorothy Gee, Community Association <br /> Chairperson, presented an overview <br /> of the background and activities of <br /> the Girl Scouts in Santa Ana, and <br />introduced several scouts from Santa Ana. The girls presented Girl Scout <br />calendars to members of the Council. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION Councilman Serrato presented a <br />"GIRL SCOUT WEEK" proclamation declaring the week of <br /> March 8-15, 1981, as Girl Scout Week <br /> to Dorothy Gee, Chairperson, Community <br />Association of Girl Scouts in Santa Ana. Ms. Gee expressed her appreciation <br />to Council and stated that they would not be able to accomplish so many <br />things without the City's support. CA 46 <br /> <br />AGENDA ORDER Helen M. Shipp, Chairperson, Orange <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION County Black Historical Commission, <br />FROM O.C. BLACK HISTORICAL COMM. presented an engraved plaque to the <br /> Vice Mayor in appreciation of the <br />City's support of the recent Black History Week celebration. She extended <br />thanks to Councilmen Bricken, Griset, Yamamoto, and Serrato, as well as <br />to the City Manager and the Recreation & Parks Director, for their parti- <br />cipation in the Black History Week parade held on February 7, 1981. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br />"RED CROSS MONTH" <br /> <br />as Red Cross Month. <br /> <br /> Councilman Luxembourger presented <br /> a proclamation to Arlene Fisher, <br /> member of the Red Cross Board of <br />Directors, declaring March, 1981, <br />MS. Fisher thanked Council for its support. CA 46 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION Councilman Griset presented a <br />"SUCCESS DAY" proclamation declaring April 24, <br /> 1981, as Success Day to Carolee Dunn, <br /> President of Santa Ana Educators <br />Association. Ms. Dunn expressed her appreciation to Councilmembers and <br />invited them to attend the activities scheduled for Success Day. CA 46 <br /> <br />AGENDA ORDER - OATH OF OFFICE The Clerk of the Council ad- <br />ALFRED O. KUTSCH ministered the Oath of Office <br />TRAC COMMISSION to Alfred O. Kutsch, newly <br /> appointed Human Relations <br />Commission representative to the TRAC Commission. Mr. Kutsch was welcomed <br />by Council.
