The meeting was reconvened at 7:53 p.m., with the same members present. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />given by Dr. Norman Conner, First <br />Christian Church. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - AMEND. APP. #848 The Vice Mayor announced that this <br />614 S. GRAND AVE. - ORD. NO. NS-1589 was the time and place for the <br />1ST READING & PUBLICATION OF TITLE public hearing of Negative Declara- <br /> tion and Amendment Application No. <br />848, 614 S. Grand Avenue, filed by Boyd Enterprises to rezone property located <br />on the west side of Grand Avenue from the R1, M1, and M2 Districts to the SD- <br />16 District. <br /> <br />The Senior Planner presented the staff report and recommendations. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. <br /> <br />Bill Boyd, of 1946 E. Edinger, the applicant in this matter, addressed <br />Council in favor of the amendment application. <br /> <br />There were no other speakers on this matter. The Vice Mayor closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Griset, seconded by Markel, to receive and file the <br />Negative Declaration, and place the following ordinance on first reading <br />and authorize publication of title: <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1589 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 848 TO REZONE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF GRAND AVENUE, SOUTH <br />OF CHESTNUT AVENUE, FROM THE R1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE), <br />M1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL), AND M2 {HEAVY INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICTS <br />TO THE SD (SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, AND ADOPTING <br />SPECIFIC PLAN #16. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, McGuigan, Serrato <br />None <br />Bricken CA 10 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING The Vice Mayor announced that <br />ASSESS. DIST. #244 this was the time and place for <br />RES. NOS. 81-98; 81-99; 81-100; the hearing of appeals in the <br />& 81-101CONT'D TO 7/6/81 matter of Assessment District <br /> No, 244. PUBLIC HEARING Community Redevelopment Agency <br />SALE OF PROPERTY TO NEMETZ at 8:09 p.m. The Vice Chair- <br />RES. NOS. 81-102 & 81-103 ADOPTED man of the Redevelopment Agency <br /> opened the joint public hearing <br />of the Community Redevelopment Agency and the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha for the proposed sale by the Community Redevelopment Agency to <br />Harold Nemetz of property located on the north by Twentieth Street, on <br />the south by Nineteenth Street, on the east by Main Street, and on the <br />west to a depth of approximately 217 feet west of Main Street, for the <br />development of a three-story medical office structure containing not less <br />than 36,000 square feet with a two-story parking stucture to accommodate <br />120 automobiles. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 192 JUNE 15, 1981 <br /> <br /> <br />
