Council reviewed several of the questions proposed by the Committee and agreed by unanimous informal consent to con- tinue action on this matter to the evening session. CA 130.4 VA 81-15 RECONSIDERED; APPROVED MOTION was made by Serrato, seconded by Luxembourger, to reconsider the following item (continued earlier in the session): NEGATIVE DECLARATION & VA 81-15 - Filed by Cadillac Fairview Homes West to construct 2-story condominiums within 150 feet of Rl-zoned property on the west side of Bear Street between MacArthur and Wakeham in R4 District. Staff Recommendation: Approval. APPROVED. Tustin, Santa Ana. The meeting was reconvened at 7:41 p.m., with the same members present except Councilmember Acosta, who arrived at 8:43 p.m. INVOCATION PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was given by the Reverend Everett Williams, Johnson Chapel Methodist Church. COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Dr. John Maybury, Executive INT'L INST. OF ORANGE CO. Director, International Institute of Orange County, informed Council of the various functions of the Institute, stating that basically the Institute provides assistance to foreigners in our Country by teaching the English language, providing entry-level job placement for new Americans, providing immigration counseling at an adjusted fee scale, and offering counseling for families and individuals seeking to adjust to living in America.
