CA 9.3 <br /> <br />RECOGNITION OF <br />FORMER MAYORS <br />HERRON & McMICHAEL <br /> <br />The Mayor recognized two former <br />Santa Ana Mayors in the audience, <br />Wade Herron and Tom McMichael. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />FY '81-82 BUDGET <br />CONT'D TO 7/25/81 <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hear- <br />ing on the proposed FY 1981-82 <br />budget. <br /> <br /> The City Manager presented an <br />overview and update of the proposed budget. <br /> <br />Arla Crandall, 4206 W. Wisteria, presented Council with a petition request- <br />ing that there be no cutbacks in the Police budget, and that the COP pro- <br />gram be retained. <br /> <br />The following people spoke in favor of maintaining the Police budget at <br />its current level at a minimium, or increasing it, if possible: <br /> <br />Emil Ketelson, 2030 E. The Mayor closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />The City Manager responded to the questions posed by the public regarding <br />the budget. <br /> <br />By unanimous informal consent, further discussion of the budget was continued <br />to July 25, 1981. CA 65 <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:05 p.m., and reconvened at 9:17 p.m., with the same <br />members present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING The Mayor opened the public hearing <br />APPEAL APPLICATION #445; continued from July 6, 1981, on <br />VA 80-71 ~; Appeal Application No. 445, filed <br />RES.
