MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />September 21, 1981 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Bricken at 2:05 p.m., in the <br />City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present <br />were John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel, <br />Patricia A. McGuigan, Alfred C. Serrato, and Mayor Gordon Bricken. Also <br />present were City Manager A. J. Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, <br />and Clerk of the Council Janice Co Guy. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />given by Councilmember Griset. <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION Councilmember Acosta, along with <br />SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM Rollie Tackett, Trustee of the <br /> Orange Belt Painters Apprentice- <br /> ship Trust, through the Summer <br />Youth Program, Orange County Manpower Commission, presented a Certificate <br />of Outstanding Achievement to outstanding instructor Norman Paley, and <br />to outstanding student John Armenta.
