The Mayor opened the public hearing on Amendment Applica- tion No. 859 filed by Pa¢ifica Far-West States, Inc., to rezone property at 2315-2321W. Edinger Avenue from the C1 and R1 The Chief of Planning gave the staff report and recommendations. The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. There were no speakers on the matter. The Mayor closed the public hearing, MOTION was made by Griset, seconded by Markel, to approve and file the Negative Declaration, and to place on first reading and authorize publica- tion of title of the following ordinance: ORDINANCE NO. NS-1607 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 859 TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF EDINGER AVENUE BETWEEN CENTER AND GORDON STREETS, FROM THE C1 (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL) AND R1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT TO THE R2-PRD (MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE - PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 23-10.
