NSJ610 -~ION <br />STAFF INSTRUCTED <br /> <br /> CA 10 <br /> :CA 78.3 <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public <br />hearings on General Plan Amend- <br />ment No. 81-2, Amendment Appli- <br />cation No. 863, and Appeal No. <br />860 filed by Mesa Pacific'Devel- <br />opment/California Lifestyles <br /> <br /> Corporation, proposing to amend <br />the Land Use portion of the Land Use and Arterial Streets Section of the <br />General Plan to redesignate]the subject property from Low Density Residen- <br />tial to Medium Density Residential; to rezone property at 4006 W. Hazard <br />from the R1 (Single Family Residential) to the R2-PRD (Multiple Family- <br />Planned Residenti~al Development) District, and appealing the Planning <br />Commission's denial of Conditional Use Permit 81-15 'to all ow'the develop- <br />ment of 31 townhouses on property to be rezoned to the R2-PRD District. <br /> <br />The Chief of Planning recommended that the public hearing be referred <br />backto the Planning Commission~to a~llow the developer'to redesign the <br />project to accommodate some of the neighbors' concerns, <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Thompson, representative of Mesa Pacific'Development, supported <br />the recommendation. <br /> <br />Mr. Frank J. Stastny, 716 N. Morse Drive, spoke in opposition to the <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Following discussion of the recommendation ~Koposed.by the Chief o~ .Plan- <br />ning, decision was made by unanimous informal consent to proceed with <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />The Chief of Planning presented the staff report and recommen'dations. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. <br /> <br />The following people spoke in favor of General Plan Amendment No. 81-2; <br />Amendment ApplicaEiQn No. 863; and Appea?
