COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Gerhard Kohn, Executive Director, <br />CHILD GUIDANCE & DAY and Yale Gancherov, Clinical <br />TREATMENT CENTER OF SA Director, Child Guidance and Day <br /> Treatment Center of Santa Ana, <br />presented an overview of the Center, stating that it has been in Orange <br />County since 1974, and located in Santa Ana since 1977. The Center <br />assists emotionally disturbed children between the ages of 5-12 years, <br />and serves a broad spectrum of ethnic groups. Referrals are received <br />from the Orange County Department of Mental Health, University of Southern <br />California, Irvine, as well as the private sector and public schools. <br />Councilmember Serrato presented Mr. Kohn and Mr. Gancherov with a City <br />Seal Tile plaque in appreciation for the service the Center has provided <br />to the citizens of Santa Aha. CA 9.4 <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE The Assistant Clerk of the <br />OLLIE WHITAKER Council administered the Oath <br /> of Office to Ollie Whitaker, <br /> newly appointed Ward 4 <br />representative to the Recreation & Parks Board. Mrs. Whitaker was <br />welcomed by the City Council. CA 80.9 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />BUDGET PROGRAM FY 82-83 <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public <br />hearing for community input <br />on budget programming for <br />Fiscal Year 1982-83. <br /> <br />li~e City Manager presented an overview of the budget programs the City <br />has used in the past and is currently using. <br /> <br />The following persons spoke with regard to budget programming for FY <br />1982-83: <br /> <br />Mickey Madden, 2319 N. The Mayor closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />The City Manager thanked the citizens who addressed Council and informed <br />them that the input which had been received would be reviewed over the <br />next two weeks.
