COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Beryle Koenig, Coordinator, Health <br />HEALTH CARE AGENCY OF O.C. Care Agency of Orange County, <br />ELDER CARE PROGRAM Elder Care Program, presented <br /> an overview of the agency, stating <br />that it originated in 1976 in Orange County and now has 34 clinics through- <br />out the county. Marilyn Geller, Public Health Nurse with the organization, <br />gave a slide presentation showing the various services provided to senior <br />citizens. Coun¢ilmember Alfred C. Serrato presented a City Seal Tile <br />Plaque to the Health Care Agency of Orange County in recognition of its <br />service to the citizens of Santa Ana. CA 9.4 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Following consideration of <br />APPEAL NO. 466 - VA 82-7 letter dated July 29, 1982 <br />1322 W. 5TH ST. received from Dennis J. <br />CONT'D TO 9/7/82 Lowry, Engineering Technology <br /> Inc., on behalf of Advanced <br />Mobile Phone Service, Inc., requesting a one-month continuance of Appeal <br />No. 466, filed by Advanced Mobile Phone Service appealing the Planning <br />Commission's denial of Variance No. 82-7, to allow installation of a <br />154' antenna which is not a permitted use in the C1 District, MOTION was <br />made by Luxembourger, seconded by McGuigan, to continue the public hearing <br />to September 7, 1982. <br /> <br />Motion passed on the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, <br /> McGuigan, Serrato <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />CA 13.3 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING The Mayor opened the public <br />APPEAL NO. 465 - VA 82-5 hearing on Appeal No. 465, <br />400 N. TUSTIN AVE. filed by Western National Bank, <br />CONT'D TO 8/16/82 appealing the Planning Commission's <br /> denial of Variance No. 82-5, to <br />permit an additional exterior sign on the building parapet modifying VA 80-61 <br />and exceeding both the number and coverage requirements of the Limited <br />Professional District. <br /> <br />The Chief of Planning presented the staff report and recommendations, stating <br />that the applicant already exceeded the LP requirements with a previous <br />variance. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. <br /> <br />The following persons spoke in favor of the appeal: <br /> <br />Ken Hansen, 400 N. Tustin <br />Dave Kaplan, 136 E. Gary <br /> <br />There were no other speakers on the matter.
