Coun¢ilmember Luxembourger requested that the Mayor write a letter to <br />the Mitchell School Special Soccer team for its recent fine performance. <br /> CA 38 <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan reported that the Mater Dei High School drill <br />team was chosen to compete in a nationwide competition in Florida, and <br />that team members should be commended for their efforts. CA 38 <br /> <br />Mayor Bricken requested that the logo for the City water tower be <br />provided in color to Councilmembers. <br /> <br />CA 12 <br /> <br />Mayor Bricken also inquired as to why the utility users' tax, used for <br />public safety purposes, could not be called a public safety tax. The <br />City Manager responded that information demonstrating the use of this <br />tax would be reflected in a special section in the final budget <br />document. CA 65B <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION The City Manager reported <br />CITY MANAGER a semi-annual Santa Ana <br /> "Tomorrow Conference" was <br /> scheduled for Saturday, <br />October 2, 1982, and the subject would be "The Role and Status of Public <br />Education in Our Community." <br /> <br />He also announced that an All-America City fund-raising effort <br />will be conducted by the Chamber of Commerce at a special luncheon on <br />Friday, August 13, 1982, at Santa Ana College, for the purpose of <br />assisting the All-America City Committee delegation with expenses. CA 147 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION <br />LEO FLORES <br /> <br />Santa Ana. The Mayor informed Mr. Flores <br />scheduled at a future meeting and that he <br />noticed by the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br />Leo Flores addressed Council <br />on the proposed ban of ice <br />cream trucks in the City of <br />that the item would be <br />and other vendors would be <br /> CA 112.14 <br /> <br />RECESS <br />HSG. AUTHORITY <br />RECONVENED <br /> <br />At 5:08 p.m., Council recessed <br />to the Housing Authority, and <br />reconvened and immediately <br />recessed to dinner at 5:11 p.m. <br />at La Fiesta, 819 S.
