E. <br />Gene Carter Day" in the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />TREESWEET COMPANY <br /> <br />butions to the community of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta presented <br />a City Seal Tile plaque to Edith <br />Dahlberg, Office Manager, Treesweet <br />Company, for its generous contri- <br /> <br /> 120.35 <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Raymond Reed, President, Friends <br />PRIENDS OF THE SANTA ANA LIBRARY of the Santa Ana Library, pre- <br /> sented an overview of the activities <br /> of the organization, stating that <br />it was formed in 1960 and served as support for programs for the Library not <br />covered in the library's annual budget. Funding comes from its membership <br />and from two book sales held annually. The Friends support two major <br />projects -- the reading project for the Children's Library, and supplying of <br />large-print books for the visually handicapped. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset presented Mr. Reed with a City Seal Tile plaque in <br />appreciation of its many years of valuable service to the community of <br />Santa Aha. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />VACATION-9TH ST. <br />RES.
