Santa Ana/Oranse County Transportation Center Off-Site Improvements <br /> <br />The Director of Planning and Development Services reported that efforts <br />were underway to improve the area immediately adjacent to the new <br />Transportation Center, indicating that several houses had already been <br />painted and that staff had developed landscape and streetscape improvement <br />plans which would be implemented along Santa Ana Boulevard. Councilmember <br />Young encouraged staff to consider the County's needs when developing the <br />City yard, se that the County land adjacent to the Transportation Center <br />might be cleared and developed into a compl~mentary use to the <br />Transportation Center. <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed their concerns with respect to Consent Calendar <br />items. At 2:57 p.m. the Council recessed and reconvened in the Council <br />Chambers at 3:14 p.m., with all Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Councilmember Gordon Bricken <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />The following items were removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion: <br />Items 8B, 8C, 17A, 17C, 19B, and 21C. Councilmember Bricken registered <br />"no" votes on Items 5B, 5C, 5E, 5F, SE, 8F, and 21D. Councilmember <br />Johnson registered "no" votes on Items 5B, 5C, 5D, and 21D. Councilmember <br />McGuigan registered "no" votes on Items 4C and 21D.
