<br />RESOLUTION 2005-052 <br /> <br />REVENUE <br />ACCOUNT <br /> <br />SECTION X <br /> <br />5911 <br />5912 <br />5913 <br />5914 <br />5915 <br />5918 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2005-052 <br />Page 46 of 60 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENTIMISCELLANEOUS FEE OR SERVICE <br /> <br />PLANNING & BUILDING AGENCY <br /> <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Unless otherwise provided, payment of fees and charges as <br />established herein shall be made to the Executive Director <br />of the Planning and Building Agency or his/her authorized <br />representative at the time of initial application or request for <br />the permit or service for which a fee is charged or imposed, <br />No permit shall be issued to any person, firm or corporation <br />unless all fees therefore have been paid in full. <br /> <br />Exception: Waiver of Fee <br /> <br />No permit or plan check fees required by this resolution will <br />be charged for public improvement projects performed by <br />construction contractors and subcontractors pursuant to contract <br />with the City of Santa Ana or the Community Redevelopment <br />Agency of the City of Santa Ana nor for any work performed by <br />employees of the City in the course of their employment. <br />However, this fee waiver does not exempt any party from <br />obtaining a permit for such work nor exempt such party from <br />conforming to the procedures established by the City nor from <br />compliance with all applicab]e City and State ordinances <br />regulating such work <br /> <br />REFUNDS <br /> <br />Upon written request from the permittee, refunds of permit <br />fees may be made to the permittee in an amount equal to 80% <br />of the permit fee, exclusive of the plan check and issuance <br />fee; except that no permit fees shall be refunded under any <br />of the following circumstances: <br /> <br />(I) 180 days has elapsed from the date of the issuance <br />of the permit <br />(2) inspections have been performed by the Building Safety <br />Division <br /> <br />If a permit has been issued for a project located in an area <br />outside of the jurisdiction of the City, ]00% of the permit <br /> <br />and plan check fee may be refunded. Ifa permit has been <br />erroneously issued, 100% of the permit and plan check fee <br />may be refunded. <br /> <br />If a plan check fee has been paid and the plan is withdrawn <br />by the applicant prior to the plan check, refunds of plan <br />check fees may be made to the permittee in an amount equal <br />to 100% of the plan check fee in excess of$32.50 paid, <br />no other case may any plan check fees be refunded. <br /> <br />SPECIAL INVESTIGATION FEE <br /> <br />A special investigation fee shall be charged by the Bui]ding <br />Official for any investigation of a building structural work, <br />reports, certification, or any other related work requested by <br />an owner or his authorized agent. Said fee shall be assessed <br />in an amount sufficient to reimburse the City for the costs <br />actually incurred by the City based upon a rate of$6750 per hour <br />but in no case shall be less than $67.50 <br /> <br />41 <br /> <br />UNIT <br /> <br />FY 05-06 <br />FEES <br /> <br />32.50 <br /> <br />67.50 <br />
