Direct the and Clerk Cuatro de $73,640.31 City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager of the Council to execute an agreement with La Calle Santa Ana Association in an amount not to exceed for promotions and marketing efforts in the Downtown. 2. Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the Downtown Santa Ana Business Council in an amount not to exceed $67,975.67 for promotions and marketing efforts in the Downtown. DISCUSSION On December 20, 2004, the City Council approved the 2004 Annual Report and Budget for the Downtown Santa Ana Business Improvement District (BID) . A portion of the approved budget included Downtown promotions and marketing activities totaling $52,500.00. The City has received $89,115.98 from the 2003 and 2004 Fiestas of the Americas profits. City staff recommends that 100 percent of those funds be used in the Downtown to enhance promotional activities. The funds available from both of these sources total $141,615.98. On May 19, 2005, a meeting was held with representatives from the Downtown Santa Ana Business Council, La Calle Cuatro de Santa Ana Association, the Fiesta Marketplace Promotions Committee, and City staff to discuss the BID promotions and marketing budget. A consensus was reached under which the City will contract with La Calle Cuatro de Santa Ana Association and the Downtown Santa Ana Business Council to develop 25T -1
