RFP For Design Built Security Management System <br />for the West Pumping Station <br />RFP 05-035 <br />Scope: <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency, Water Resources Division is soliciting <br />proposals for Design Build security management system for one of its existing pumping <br />and reservoir stations. Designer/Contractor is to provide all necessary labor and material <br />to install and commission, as "Turnkey" project, a Security Management System (SMS) <br />for the West Pumping Station. The City wishes to install security cameras and motion <br />detectors at three sites, which are the West Reservoir, Well 21 and Well 30. Also, an <br />SMS Server Computer shall be installed at the City's Corporate Yard. The main <br />communication paths shall be a broadband phone lines. The duration of the project is 45 <br />calendar days starting when the notice to proceed is issued. The SMS will be constructed <br />in accordance to a set of specification provided by the City. Copies of the specification <br />are available from the City's purchasing department. A mandatory job walk will be <br />held on April 27th at 9:00 am at 4426 West First Street. Attached is a map depicting <br />the site. Proposals submitted from entities that did not attend the job walk will not be <br />accepted. <br />Proposals must comply with all provisions of the specifications. Specifications that will <br />not be met must be listed in the proposal along with a statement explaining the exception. <br />Bidding Criteria/Requirements: <br />The contractor responsible for the installation of the equipment must be a licensed <br />contractor with the State of California with a C-10 license. <br />The entity providing the proposal for the SMS shall be qualified Security System <br />installers with more than 5 years of experience in installation and integration of video <br />surveillance security systems similar to this project. <br />The proposal package shall include the following categories that will be used for their <br />evaluation. The evaluation of the bids will be based on the information provided, only. <br />The project will be awarded to the most responsible and responsive entity based on their <br />technical proposal and price. <br />1. Statement of experience. <br />2. A list of equivalent projects with other organizations with a contact name and <br />phone number (minimum of five contacts) <br />3. Identification of the bidders proposed project team key members, including the <br />manager and engineer and installation crew and their experience as relevant to the <br />project. <br />
