instrumentation, control, and security equipment and the scheduling of the SMS <br />Supplier's personnel. The SMS Supplier shall be solely responsible for providing <br />camera, instrumentation and control equipment that properly meet the functional <br />intent of the specifications. Substitutions for functions specified are not permitted. <br />D. Certification by SMS Supplier: At the time of quoting to prospective Contractors <br />prior to bid opening, the prospective SMS Supplier shall execute and submit a written <br />certification of intent to assume full responsibility for the complete requirements of <br />this Section of the Contract Documents. A signed copy thereof shall be supplied to <br />the prospective Contractor for inclusion by him with his Bidding Documents. Failure <br />by a SMS Supplier to provide this written certification shall be treated as NO BID. <br />Each prospective Contractor shall include with his proposal the certification, required <br />above. <br />The certification of system responsibility shall be worded as follows: <br />(Corporate name of SMS Supplier) hereby certifies intent to assume and <br />execute full responsibility to select, furnish, supervise installation and <br />connection, program, configure, test, calibrate and place into operation all <br />specified cameras, instrumentation, control, telemetry --including <br />communications acceptable reliability — security panels, software and all <br />assemblies, components, and accessories needed to place into service <br />complete operating Security Management System, all in full compliance with the <br />requirements of the Contract Documents. <br />2. In addition, it is certified that drawings and data will be prepared and submitted, <br />specified field services will be performed by qualified personnel, the CITY <br />operating and maintenance personnel will be instructed, and technical manuals <br />will be prepared and submitted. <br />1.2 RELATED SECTIONS <br />A. Section 01010 — Summary of Work. <br />B. Section 17100 — Security Management System Specific Requirements <br />C. Division 16000 — Electrical <br />1.3 REFERENCES <br />A. Without limiting the generality of other requirements of these Specifications, all work <br />specified herein shall conform to or exceed the applicable requirements of the <br />referenced documents to the extent that the requirements therein are not in conflict <br />with the provisions of this Section; provided, that where such documents have been <br />adopted as a code or ordinance by the public agency having jurisdiction, such code or <br />ordinance shall take precedence. <br />B.
