have no puddled water and be free of soil, stains, streaks, and swirl marks. A <br />check shall be made for any observable soil that can be removed by a second <br />scrubbing. On rest rooms a germicidal detergent solution should be used instead <br />of a neutral detergent solution. <br />G. DESCALE TOILETS AND URINALS <br />Use acid -type bowl cleaner and nylon bowl brush to remove scum, mineral <br />deposits, rust stains, etc., which are common problems of toilet bowls and <br />urinals. <br />H. DISINFECT FURNITURE. FIXTURES, WALLS, PARTITIONS, (RESTROOMS) <br />Use a sponge or cloth and a germicidal detergent within a spray bottle to damp <br />wipe and disinfect all non -wood hard surfaces of furniture, fixtures, walls, <br />partitions and doors. Use a germicidal detergent approved by the City. <br />I. VACUUM FABRIC FURNITURE SURFACES <br />Use an upright or tank vacuum with dusting attachment and remove all dust, lint, <br />litter, and dry soil, etc., from all fabric surfaces of chairs, workstation partitions, <br />and other furniture. <br />J. DUST HVAC VENTS <br />Use a vacuum cleaner with brush attachments. Clean all HVAC vents and area <br />immediately surrounding them. Take care not to spread dust into the air. <br />K DUST BLINDS AND DRAPERIES <br />Dust blinds and draperies using vacuum cleaner brush attachment. Also wipe off <br />any visible dirt or dust from plastic vertical type blinds, shades or miniblinds. <br />L. DUST BUILDING SURFACES <br />Use a lightly treated dust cloth, lambs wool dusting tool, upright or tank vacuum <br />with dusting attachments, or combination of these tools to remove all dust, lint, <br />litter, dry soil, etc., from the surface of ledges, window sills, fire extinguishers, <br />counter tops, wall door frames and sills, light switches, pictures, partitions, rails <br />and other types of fixtures and surfaces which are not considered to be furniture <br />surfaces or specialty equipment such as test equipment, computers, typewriters, <br />calculators, etc., below nine (9) feet from the floor surface. Dusting shall be <br />accomplished by the removal of soil from the area - not by moving it from one <br />surface to another. This includes the cleaning of the atrium wood ledges too. <br />M. EMPTY TRASH AND ASH RECEPTACLES <br />All wastebaskets, cigarette ash receptacles and other trash containers within the <br />area shall be emptied and returned to their initial location.
