e.
-y.:::J

Complete Data Manaqement

VaultLink Introduction

What is VaultLink and what can I do with it?

VaultLink is an easy-to-use program that gives you the ability to track the movement of
your media between DPSI and your business location, so that at any given moment,
you can pinpoint its current location, whether off-site or on-site. Even better, with
VaultLink, you actually control the media movement process by electronically informing
DPSI of what media you are sending off-site, and when you want it returned. You can
describe the contents of each tape by filling in the Description field. You can also
electronically order media to be delivered on demand. At any time, you can change a
tape's description or return date. You can also communicate with the vault operations
staff at DPSI by sending them instructional messages.

Why is using VaultLink a better way to manaae my media?

The overall benefit of using VaultLink is better access and control of your media by
managing it using a computer instead of paper. Here is why. Before VaultLink existed,
label Numbers, Return Dates, and Descriptions had to be handwritten by DPSI clients
onto transmittal forms and then data entered by vault personnel into VaultWare. With
VaultLink, you can just as easily key in that same information into your VaultLink
program, print the transmittal report, and transmit that data to DPSI for automatic
updating. The result? With no more effort than it takes to handwrite the transmittal
form, you can capture and retain your media movement information, and access it
easier and faster from your PC than you could from a stack of transmittal forms. Think
of the time you'll save every time you need to locate a particular tape. Plus, you'll have
the added flexibility to change your Return Dates and Descriptions in VaultLink at any
time and send your changes electronically.

How does VaultLink work?

8
