3. Maintain the referral and intake system to be used b�homeless service providers that will provide immediate <br />access to legal advocates. <br />Task/Action: <br />(A) With continued input from collaborative partners, maintain and improve the current referral system to better <br />meet the needs of the homeless population and these agencies. <br />(B) Continue to recruit Whittier, Western State and Chapman Law School interns to provide legal assistance in <br />cases that involve complex legal issues and require extensive legal research. <br />4. Increasing the Legal knowledge of case workers/advocates to identify legal issues. <br />Task/Action: <br />(A) Continue to develop and present training and education material in substantive legal areas to staff members of <br />these agencies. <br />(B) Provide ongoing information to staff members of collaborating agencies. <br />5. Improving communication between LASOC and homeless service providers to use limited resources to more <br />effectivelyprovide comprehensive services that involves both legal and social service professionals. <br />Task/Action: <br />(A) Continue to hold quarterly meetings with collaborative partners to discuss legal and other related issues <br />affecting the homeless population, to identify potential problems, and to discuss solutions. <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served during the 12-month <br />contract period per quarter <br />Quarter 1: July 1 — September 30 13 Persons <br />Quarter 2: October 1 — December 31 14 Persons <br />Quarter 3: January 1 — March 31 14 Persons <br />Quarter 4: April 1 — June 30 14 Persons <br />Total 55 Persons <br />Invoicing Schedule <br />Estimate the amount of grant funds to be requested during the 12-month contract period on a <br />quarterly basis <br />Quarter 1: July 1— September 30 $ 2500 <br />Quarter 2: October 1 —December 31 $ 2500 <br />Quarter 3: January 1— March 31 $ 2500 <br />Quarter 4: April 1 — June 30 $ 2500 <br />Total $ 10,000 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
