RFP 05-051 <br />4.2.3 Remote Download/View/Transmit Workstation: A complete Remote <br />Download/View/Transmit Workstation shall be compatible with the Santa Ana Police <br />Department's existing wireless technologies that include, but are not limited to: "Edge" <br />Cellular and 802.11G WIFI using standard encryption and compression via <br />"NETMOTION" brand software. This workstation shall possess similar functionality as a <br />"simple" workstation, however shall be easily portable to any location within the county <br />and be capable of performing aforementioned duties remotely. This terminal shall not <br />necessarily have administrative capabilities, however shall be able to readily transmit or <br />print digital information should the Santa Ana Police Department Forensic Services <br />Section deem it necessary. <br />4.3 Digital Evidence Server/Storage Equipment: The Digital Photographic, Video and Audio <br />Evidence Management System shall be maintained on its own server. The server shall be <br />expandable for future growth. Redundant mass backup storage will be completed through <br />at minimum, a large scale Raid Array and dual sided DVD -R or PDD Jukebox module <br />technology with sixteen (16) Terabyte capacity and the ability to expand beyond fifty <br />(50) Terabytes. <br />4.4 Digital Evidence Management Proposer Support Profile: The Santa Ana Police <br />Department Forensic Services Section is a large-scale crime scene unit and anticipates <br />processing a minimum of 200,000 potentially large file size images per year. As such, a <br />maximum four-hour service response time shall be mandatory. The System shall be built <br />to accommodate future expansion and therefore, gratis lifetime software updates are <br />desirable. Further, the Proposer shall supply all assembly, maintenance, and training <br />associated with the System. Warranties exceeding those provided by the manufacturers <br />are desirable. <br />
