4.2.2 Administrative Download Workstation: The proposed DIMS® Solution includes three (3) DIMS® Digital AcquisitiowEnhancement ImageServer Class Workstations, each with different hardware configurations and with a specific designated function but all acting as redundant backup equipment for each other. Each system has redundant power supplies and UPS systems. Each system has mirrored RAID drives for data. One of the three DIMS® Digital Acquisition/Enhancement ImageServer workstations is configured to acquire, process, enhance, output, and archive of forensic video and audio. This workstation includes the latest and most advanced video enhancement software (Video Investigator) and software demultiplexer (VideoActive) by Cognitech Inc. In addition, the workstation includes a Digital Audio Corporation QE -10 forensic audio clarification system. The workstation also includes SnapMedia software and approximately forty-four (44) cables to allow downloading of digital images or video from virtually every cell phone model from every cell phone manufacturer currently on the market. The second of the three (3) DIMS® Digital Acquisition(Enhancement ImageServer workstations is configured to scan and enhance photographs from prints, large format negatives, 35mm slides, or 35mm filmstrips. This system includes both a high- resolution professional flatbed scanner and a high speed, high-resolution professional 35mm roll film scanner. The third of the three (3) DIMS® Digital Acquisition/Enhancement ImageServer workstations is configured as a PrintServer for the Epson Stylus Pro 9800 (upgrade from discontinued Epson Stylus Pro 9600), Konica Minolta 7300EN with duplexer (upgrade from discontinued UP LaserJet 4610n), and a Noritsu dDP-621 dry printer. All the DIMS® Digital Acquisition/Enhancement ImageServer workstations include dual LCD panel monitors, CD -R and DVD -R copy and burn capability, email, and network printing to a variety of printers. A Rimage Proteg6 with Everest printer and Control Center will also act as a network authoring system and printer for CDs and DVDs. Linear Systems is offering a trade-in for the existing Noritsu QSS-2701SM printer. 4.2.2 Consumables Linear has included funds for a startup supply of consumables for all equipment purchased from Linear. Upon award of Contract a list of specific consumables that will be included with the order along with a forecast for continued usage will be provided. Santa Ana Police Department can issue a separate purchase order or blanket purchase agreement for these additional consumables. This will not be necessary for the completion of the installation and integration. Ultimately, it will be the establishment of a workflow for the Santa Ana Police Department that will determine the volume and costs of consumables. 4.2.3 Remote Download/View/Transmit Workstation: The Remote Download/View/Transmit Workstation is a very powerful notebook computer with all necessary software applications included for field acquisitionlenhancement of evidence and presentation of that evidence in court. This notebook is configured to function as an additional DIMS® Digital Acquisition/Enhancement Workstation. This workstation also includes a second licensed copy of both Video Investigator and VideoActive by Cognitech Inc. This system is compatible with the existing Santa Ana Police Department's existing Edge Cellular and 802.11G WWI by inserting a PCMCIA WIM card and installing a license for Netmotion software. 4.3 Digital Evidence Server/Storaee Equipment: The proposed DIMS® Digital Asset Management Solution includes multiple double -redundant mass storage solutions including a #LS -1200 DIMS® Database Case Management Rack Server configured with a 1.6TB tape backup autoloader and a DIMS® 2.OTB Digital Asset RAID 5 Array, #LS -1200 DIMS® ImageServer with multi -processor multi -core support, and a #LS -1200 DIMS® PDD Library Controller. Attached to PDD Library Controller system is a DIMS® PDD 16TB Digital Library with two (2) reader/writer drives and redundant power supplies. The PDD jukebox is upgradeable as per Sony's predefined upgrade path to over 64TB (100GB per disc) in 2007. The DIMS® Rack Servers are modular and upgradeable but are designed to provide many years of service without upgrades.
