MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />May 14, 1985 <br /> <br />Them eeting was called to order at 7:20 p.m., by Mayor Daniel E. Griset, <br />in the Lawrence Building, 402-06 West Fourth Street. Councilme~bers <br />present were John Acosta, Wilson B. Hart, P. Lee Johnson, R. W. <br />Luxembourger, Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan Young and Mayor Griset. Also <br />present were City Manager Robert C. Bobb, Assistant City Attorney Richard <br />Lay, and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy · <br /> <br />URBAN LAND INSTITUTE REPORT <br /> <br />The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting wes to officially review <br />the Urban Land Institute Report, indicating the session would be a <br />workshop for the Council and would include presentations by staff and <br />coranents frc~ the public. <br /> <br />The City Manager introduced the staff's presentation noting the historic <br />background of downtown development, the status of current development <br />projects, and plans for future development would be addressed. <br /> <br />The Executive Director of Comnunity Development showed a slide <br />presentation which depicted redevelopment history in downtown Santa Ana, <br />and explained the major components of the City's redevelopment progran, <br />including private sector development, c~ercial rehabilitation loan <br />progr~ns, and public sector inves~nent. <br /> <br />The Downtown Development Cc~mission Director reviewed current development <br />projects, either under construction or being planned for each of the <br />Redevelopment Agency sites in the downtown area. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 196 MAY 14, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
