Metcalf & Eddy has a team of expert MBE / vVBE firms that the firm has successfully worked with on past projects and are ready to fulfill this requirement of the project. The percentages to meet this goal are presented in the Project Team and Organization portion of this proposal. Scope -of -Work 1) PS &E PHASE a) MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS An initial design meeting is scheduled to discuss and analyze the project. After that, it will be necessary to meet periodically during the design process to review progress, discuss options, and coordinate courses of action as indicated in the project schedule. There are four (4) meetings planed as indicated in the project schedule. b) PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS Metcalf & Eddy will prepare construction Plans and Technical Specifications for the project. All Plans and Specifications will be prepared in accordance with the applicable provisions of: Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Green Book) American Water Works Association Standards (AWWA) National Electric Code (NEC) Uniform Building Code (UBC) City of Santa Ana Standard Plans & Specifications The City will provide the contract documents and "boilerplate" portion of the Specifications. Metcalf & Eddy shall provide the technical specification portion of the special provisions and a list of BID ITEMS. Specifications shall be prepared in Microsoft Word format. Final submittal to the City shall include a computer disc, as well as a hard copy of the Specifications. Plans shall be CAD generated using Micro Station format. Final submittal to the City shall include Mylar Plan sheets as well as electronic copies of the CAD files. Plans shall be clear and legible with all components clearly identified. All plans shall be drawn at a minimum scale of I" = 20' unless otherwise approved by the City. The Plans and Specifications will contain the following items of work: • Installation of five new booster pumps and electric motors. • Provide two of the pumps with variable frequency drives (VFD). • Install all new electrical panels, equipment and wiring.
