�M6EaerProposal - Project Understanding and Scope -of -Fork 1 -34 <br />31 % for WBE and 20 % for MBE. Metcalf & Eddy has a team of expert MBE / vVBE <br />firms that the firm has successfully worked with on past projects and are ready to fulfill <br />this requirement of the project. The percentages to meet this goal are presented in the <br />Project Team and Organization portion of this proposal. <br />Scope -of -Work <br />1) PS &E PHASE <br />a) MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />An initial design meeting is scheduled to discuss and analyze the project. After that, it <br />will be necessary to meet periodically during the design process to review progress, <br />discuss options, and coordinate courses of action as indicated in the project schedule. <br />There are four (4) meetings planed as indicated in the project schedule. <br />b) PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />Metcalf & Eddy will prepare construction Plans and Technical Specifications for the <br />project. All Plans and Specifications will be prepared in accordance with the applicable <br />provisions of: <br />Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Green Book) <br />American Water Works Association Standards (AWWA) <br />National Electric Code (NEC) <br />Uniform Building Code (UBC) <br />City of Santa Ana Standard Plans & Specifications <br />The City will provide the contract documents and "boilerplate" portion of the <br />Specifications. Metcalf & Eddy shall provide the technical specification portion of the <br />special provisions and a list of BID ITEMS. Specifications shall be prepared in Microsoft <br />Word format. Final submittal to the City shall include a computer disc, as well as a hard <br />copy of the Specifications. <br />Plans shall be CAD generated using Micro Station format. Final submittal to the City <br />shall include Mylar Plan sheets as well as electronic copies of the CAD files. Plans shall <br />be clear and legible with all components clearly identified. All plans shall be drawn at a <br />minimum scale of I" = 20' unless otherwise approved by the City. <br />The Plans and Specifications will contain the following items of work: <br />• Installation of five new booster pumps and electric motors. <br />• Provide two of the pumps with variable frequency drives (VFD). <br />• Install all new electrical panels, equipment and wiring.
