<br />( <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ON <br />NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT/CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 26,2005 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:42 p.m. in Conference Room 1602, City Hall Ross <br />Annex. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />The following Councilmembers were present: Lisa Bist, Alberta Christy and Carlos <br />Bustamante <br /> <br />Staff present were: Stephen Harding, Deputy City Manager for Development Services; Ben <br />Kaufman, Chief Assistant City Attorney; Jim Ross, Executive Director/Public Works <br />Agency; Will Hayes, Public Works Maintenance Service Manager; Bruce Dunams, <br />Community Preservation Manager; and Yvette Aguilar, Community Preservation Inspector. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />(-- <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 28,2005 MEETING <br /> <br />Approved by a vote of 3:0 <br /> <br />2. DEPUTY COUNTY HEALTH INSPECTION PROGRAM UPDATE <br /> <br />Councilmember Bustamante made arrangements for County Health representatives <br />to contact Bruce Dunams to discuss and coordinate assistance with the Mobile <br />Vehicle Vending trucks. Mr. Dunams will update committee on his findings. <br /> <br />3. MOBILE VEHICLE VENDING PROGRAM ORDINANCE DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Bruce Dunams provided an update on talks with the Produce Vendors Association <br />and their concerns with items to be included in Phase II of the vending ordinance. <br />Committee members reviewed the concerns and decided to stay the course with all <br />items except the G.P.S. tracking for the permanent trucks. Mr. Dunams will get <br />more estimates and will only address G.P.S. for the transient trucks. Additionally, <br />specific sign standards are to be developed for the proposed magnetic signs. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />GARAGE PRE-SALE ORDINANCE DISCUSSION <br /> <br />( <br />" <br /> <br />Bruce Dunams presented a timeline for the implementation of the garage pre-sale <br />ordinance. Mayor Pro Tern Bist noted she is focused on resolving the Mobile <br />Vehicle Vending issue and then moving on to other community items. The projected <br />start up for discussions for the garage pre-sale ordinance is approximately six <br />months to one year. <br /> <br />138-1 <br />
