Under terms of the proposed agreement and <br />consistent with the provisions of the RFP, two additional one-year <br />options to extend the agreement may be granted to the consultant based on <br />past performance and negotiated pricing. The State of California <br />provides reimbursement to cities and counties through the SB90 process <br />for such programs as Firefighters and Peace Officers Cancer Presumption, <br />Domestic Violence Arrest policies & Procedures, and the mandated cost <br />reimbursement process itself including related consultant services. In <br />fiscal years 2002-2003 and 2003-2004, the City's SB90 claim filings <br />totaled $1.2 million. <br /> <br />A surrunary of the RFP solicitations and the proposals received were as <br />follows: <br /> <br />6 RFP solicitations mailed <br />o RFP solicitations mailed to Santa Ana based vendors <br />2 proposals received <br />o proposals received from Santa Ana based vendors <br /> <br />The proposals were reviewed by a corrunittee composed of City staff. The <br />following criteria were used to evaluate and score proposals: <br /> <br />A. Overall ability to provide the services based upon the responses <br />to the Request for Proposal. <br />B. Fees and charges related to the level of work proposed. <br /> <br />258-1 <br />
