COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />SPECIAL PERMIT HOLDERS <br /> <br />MOTION: Receive and file. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85-80 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO RESERVE THE SOUTHEP4~MOST PARKING SPACE ON THE WEST SIDE <br />OF ROSS STREET BETWEEN SANTA ANA BOULEVARD AND CIVIC CENTER DRIVE FOR <br />EXCLUSIVE USE OF SPECIAL PERMIT HOLDERS. <br /> <br />MOTION: Luxembourger SECOND: Acosta <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Johnson, Luxembourger, McGuigan, Young <br />None <br />Griset, Hart FILE 625.55.15 <br /> <br />COUNCIL COb~3NICATIONS <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to the status of the hanging baskets <br />in the downtown area; Assistant City Manager Perkins responded that <br />the matter would be discussed in conjunction with the budget in July. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta again reninded staff that car sales were taking <br />place on the street in the Second and Daisy Street area; the Executive <br />Director of Conmunity Development and Housing indicated staff would <br />pursue enforc~nent against this practice. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta noted that he had observed several vacant lots <br />with tall weeds, in particular, a residential lot east of Main Street <br />and one west of the National Senior Center in Fashion Square; the <br />Public Services Agency Director indicated a report would be provided <br />to Council as soon as possible, and that weed abatement ccmplaints <br />generally required 30 days for processing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta indicated that he had received a report on the <br />City's relocation program; however, the report did not reflect the <br />costs of administering the program, which was the specific infomation <br />in which he was interested. He requested he be provided with that <br />information. <br /> <br />Councilmember Young inquired as to the status of a historic residence <br />located at Cypress and Chestnut Streets, noting the structure might <br />possibly be demolished. The Executive Director of Cormnunity <br />Develo~nent and Housing indicated staff was att~npting to assist the <br />owner to save the house if it were feasible, but noted that if the <br />owner requested a demolition permit, staff did not have the authority <br />to deny such a request. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />252 JUNE 17, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
