PUBLIC SERVICES <br /> <br />Fire Protection: Less than Significant Impact <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana Fire Department would provide fire <br />protection and emergency services to the project area. The <br />Ci ty maintains ten fire stations throughout the City. The <br />stations are situated where no location in the City is <br />outside of an approximate 1.5 radius of a fire station. <br />Additionally, the City maintains a Mutual Aid Agreement for <br />fire protection services with the neighboring Cities of <br />Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Tustin, Irvine and Costa <br />Mesa. According to the City of Santa Ana Insurance Service <br />Organization, the City has a low fire risk rating. <br /> <br />According to the Santa Ana Fire Department, the goal of the <br />fire department is to have an onsite response time of 5:00 <br />or less 80% of the time. Fire Station No. 8 located at 501 <br />North Newhope would be the closest fire station to the <br />project site. Presently, a shift at Fire Station No. 8 <br />consists of six fire fighters, 1 fire truck, and 1 <br />emergency response unit. <br /> <br />The proposed project would result In minimal increased <br />demand for fire protection and emergency services wi thin <br />the project area. The Santa Ana Fire Department has <br />indicated that under existing levels of manpower and <br />equipment, it does not anticipate any significant <br />constraints in providing adequate fire protection services <br />to the proposed proj ect. Additionally, through the City's <br />development review process, the Santa Ana Fire Department <br />has determined that the proposed project would be in <br />compliance with the City's Fire Code. <br /> <br />Police Protection: <br /> <br />Less Than Significant Impact <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />75A-42 <br />
