<br />Euclid Street Zone Change/Subdivision ER 2005-138 <br /> <br />additional parkland is needed to meet the park needs of the <br />communi ty. The proposed proj ect would increase the City's <br />population and would further contribute to the <br />parks/population ratio imbalance. However, to help fund new <br />and or maintain existing park and recreation facilities, <br />the proposed proj ect would be subj ect to the City's park <br />fees. <br /> <br />XIV. RECREATION <br /> <br />A.Would the project increase the use of existing <br />neighborhood and regional parks or other recreational <br />facilities such that substantial physical <br />deterioration of the facility would occur or be <br />accelerated? <br /> <br />B. Does the project include recreational facilities or <br />require the construction or expansion of recreational <br />facilities, which might have an adverse physical <br />effect on the environment. <br /> <br />Less Than Significant Impact <br /> <br />As mentioned above, additional parkland is needed in Santa <br />Ana to meet current and future park needs of the community. <br />Without additional parkland and recreational facilities <br />being provided, residents would continue to use existing <br />recreational facilities in the City. To help fund new and <br />or maintain existing park and recreation facilities, the <br />proposed project would be subject to the City's park fees. <br /> <br />XV. TRANSPORTATION/TRAFFIC <br /> <br />A. Cause an increase in traffic, which is substantial in <br />relation to the existing traffic load and capacity of <br />the street system? <br /> <br />B. Exceed, either individually or cwnulatively, a level <br />of service standard established by the county <br />congestion management agency for designated roads or <br />highways? <br /> <br />Less Than Significant Impact <br /> <br />The proposed project is consistent with the City's General <br />Plan. Traffic volumes generated by the proposed project <br />would be ,consistent with the traffic proj ections in the <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />75A-44 <br />
