CONTINUE ITEMS <br /> <br />MOTION: Continue It(an Nos. 2D, 4, 12A, 19A, 60A, 60C and 60D <br /> to July 15, 1985. <br /> <br />MOTION: Acosta <br /> <br />SECOND: Hart <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Hart, McGuigan, Young <br />None <br />Johnson, Luxembourger <br /> <br />COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan noted that handicapped parking stalls in the <br />downtown parking structure were in need of painting but suggested that <br />any painting should comply with Councilmenber Lux~mbourger's request <br />relative to marking of handicapped stalls. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber McGuigan requested that staff contact representatives in <br />the City's mobile hc~ae parks to let th~ know that the Mobile Home <br />Mediation Service had been dissolved. She also reported that she had <br />received a request from Azteca Little League regarding a snack stand; <br />this request was referred to the Director of Parks, Recreation and <br />Cultural Services. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan reported she had received a petition from <br />neighbors in the Fairview area across frcm Centennial Park requesting <br />assistance with parking problems in the area. The petition was re- <br />ferred to the Public Services Agency for resolution and the Clerk <br />instructed to circulate the petition to Councilm~mbers. FIL~ 1030 <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta once again expressed concern with car sales in <br />the 2nd and Daisy Street neighborhood and indicated his specific <br />request had been for staff to report on the number of citations issued <br />since the Council's last meeting, not for the month of June. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta indicated that the citizens adjacent to the <br />Immigration Service located on 17th Street had cc~plained to him <br />regarding litter resulting from distribution of handbills in that <br />area. The City Attorney indicated those discarding the handbills <br />were guilty of littering, not the finn producing the handbills, and <br />that control of the littering would be difficult. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to whether the City Manager had suf- <br />ficient time to explore efficiencies he had proposed relative to the <br />Code Enforc~ent Progr~n; the City Manager indicated the report would <br />be available July 15. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />290 JULY 1, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
