<br />System. OCSD/Communications shall compile a list of this approved equipment <br />and make it available to all Partner and Participating Agencies. In the future, as <br />newer equipment from the original vendor or other vendors become available, <br />OCSD/Communications shall evaluate it for compatibility with the System and <br />make recommendations to the Technical Liaison Committee. Any equipment that <br />meets the technical criteria for operation on the System shall be added to the <br />approved list. OCSD/Communications will be responsible for negotiating pricing <br />on new equipment with recommendations forwarded to the Governance <br />Committee for final approval. <br /> <br />11.5 <br /> <br />Technical Standards and Equipment Evaluation <br /> <br />The OCSD/Communications Division maintains engineering and technical staff <br />whose task is to maintain, manage and operate the 800 MHz CCCS. Technical <br />management of the System shall continue to be the responsibility of <br />OCSD/Communications Division. County technical staff shall evaluate new radio <br />subscriber equipment for adherence to technical standards prior to the Technical <br />Liaison Committee for approval and to the vendor requesting equipment <br />evaluation.
