Both the County and City wish to widen Warner Avenue from the Santa Ana River <br />Channel to Harbor Boulevard to join existing ultimate roadway improvements. W arner Avenue is <br />designated on the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways as a six lane divided Major <br />Arterial Highway. Improvements planned include bridge widening, roadway widening, storm <br />drains, retaining walls, landscaping, sidewalks and street lighting. These improvements are <br />hereinafter referred as "Proj ect". <br />B. The purpose of this Agreement is to define the responsibilities of the County and City with <br />respect to this Project including, but not limited to: Compliance with the California Environmental <br />Quality of Act ("CEQA") of 1970 as amended, Design, Right-of-Way, Construction, Funding, <br />Maintenance and Cooperation. <br />C. City is desirous of including the construction of a storm drain along the north side of <br />Warner Avenue within right of way to be acquired by the City from Southern California Edison <br />Company. <br /> <br />1 <br />
