<br />B. Senior Fire Prevention Personnel II. Any personnel in <br />the classifications listed in Section 7.2 who attain <br />the educational training and experience qualifications <br />specified below shall be paid an additional fifteen <br />(15) salary rate ranges (approximately 7.5%) above his <br />or her then current base monthly salary step. The <br />criteria for such designation shall be as follows: <br /> <br />1. Completion of at least ninety (90) college semester <br />units (or equivalent quarter units) with major work <br />in Fire Science or other related areas, which may <br />include studies in Chemistry, Computer Sciences, <br />Physics, Management, Public Administration, <br />Education, etc., from an accredited college or <br />university; and <br /> <br />2. Completion of at least six (6) points from Section <br />7.2D. Four (4) points must be selected from Section <br />7.2D Subsection 1 and one (1) point from each of <br />Section 7.2D Subsection 2 and Section 7.2D <br />Subsection 3. Selections from Section 7.2D <br />Subsection 2 and Section 7. 2D Subsection 3 shall <br />differ from Section 7.2A selections. Only one <br />substitution, as listed in Section 7.2F, may be <br />made. <br /> <br />C. Senior Fire Prevention Personnel III. Any personnel in <br />the classifications listed in Section 7.2 who attain <br />the educational training and experience qualifications <br />specified below shall be paid an additional twenty-four <br />(24) salary rate ranges (approximately 12%) above his <br />or her then current base monthly salary step. The <br />criteria for such designation shall be as follows: <br /> <br />1. Completion of at least one hundred and twenty (120) <br />college semester units (or equivalent quarter units) <br />with major course work in Fire Science or other <br />related areas, which may include studies in <br />Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Physics, Management, <br />Public Administration, Education, etc., from an <br />accredited college or university; and <br /> <br />2. Completion of at least eight (8) points from Section <br />7. 2D. Six (6) points must be selected from Section <br />7.2D Subsection 1 and one (1) point from each of <br />Section 7.2D Subsection 2 and Subsection 3. <br />Selections from Section 7.2D Subsection 2 and <br />Subsection 3 shall differ from Section 7.2A and <br />Section 7.2B selections. Only one substitution, as <br />listed in Section 7.2F, may be made. <br /> <br />27 <br />
