The following persons addressed Council expressing concerns relative <br />to the relocation of Santa Ana Stadi~ and financing of the Westd~ne <br />Project: <br /> <br />Charles Paap, 943 River Lane <br />Susan Heike, 1010 West Santa Clara <br />Ron Heike, 1010 West Santa Clara <br />Bob Lopez, 1535 East Seventeenth <br />Preston Guillory, 2101 North Candis <br /> <br />Winnie Winston, 17291 Irvine Boulevard, addressed Council, requesting <br />relief from the $150.00 surcharge on property improvoments made <br />without permit at the Bishop Manor condominitms. The matter was <br />referred to the City Manager for review and report to the Council on <br />December 2, 1986. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 11:26 p.m., and reconvened at 11:35 p.m., with <br />the same members present. <br /> <br />COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan inquired as to what action would need to be <br />taken to change the Downtown Development C~ission meeting schedule. <br />The City Attorney explained that the language creating the Cc~nission <br />allowed total discretion relative to the schedule by the Council. She <br />inquired as to why staff m~nbers on the Technology Exchange Center <br />were meeting with organizations in cities other than Santa Ana; the <br />City Manager indicated he would investigate and respond on Novsmber <br />19, 1985. She also inquired as to whether the Council wished to refer <br />the proposed Countywide HazMat Ordinance to staff for investigation <br />and report; the CityManager indicated that the Fire Depar~nnent was <br />currently reviewing the ordinance and that a report would be provided <br />to the Council. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber McGuigan suggested that the Channel 3 Cable schedule <br />include programs of general interest in addition to the City Manager's <br />Agenda Review, for weekend viewing. She also expressed displeasure at <br />the Council's approving additional funding for the City's Cable pro- <br />gram in her absence. <br /> <br />Councilm~mzber Luxembourger requested that Council Support personnel be <br />pemitted to attend both the 12:00 to 3:00 infoml discussion <br />session of the Council and the City Administration work study session. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to whether staff had resolved all <br />probl~ns relative to citing persons relative to violating the "no" <br />north traffic restriction on 17th and Ross Streets, and was infom~=d <br />that signs and pave~entmarkings were in place. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 539 NOV~b~ER 18, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
