Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting $1,485,502 into the <br />Traffic Congestion Relief Fund (account no. 28-01-5360-2928) and <br />appropriating the funds in the Traffic Congestion Relief Fund <br />(account no. 28-552-6631). <br /> <br />2 , Award a contract to Hardy & Harper, Inc., the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount <br />of $655,047.50 for construction of improvements in the Logan <br />Neighborhood. <br /> <br />3. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $899,500, <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Segments of Washington Avenue, Custer Street, Logan Street and Stafford <br />Street located within the Logan Neighborhood have been identified as a <br />high priority for rehabilitation in the City's pavement management <br />system (Exhibit 1). The pavement is deteriorating due to weather, age <br />and heavy usage. Some of the adjacent curbs, gutters, sidewalks, cross <br />gutters, driveway approaches and wheelchair ramps are also in various <br />states of disrepair and require replacement. <br /> <br />This project provides for the construction of new street pavement, <br />replacement of damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, cross gutters, <br />driveway approaches and wheelchair ramps. Once completed, these <br />improvements will enhance the ride quality, surface drainage and visual <br />appearance of the neighborhood. <br /> <br />23A-1 <br />
