<br />Logan Neighborhood Rehabilitation <br />Project No. 05-7807 <br />November 7, 2005 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />In 2002, Proposition 42 was passed by California voters. It dedicates <br />the sales tax on gasoline to transportation projects, including repair <br />and maintenance of local streets and roads. Cities and counties will <br />receive $254 million for local street and road maintenance projects. <br />The City of Santa Ana's share is $1,485,502 for FY 05/06. It is <br />recommended that the City commit these funds to the Logan and Delhi <br />Neighborhood Rehabilitation Projects as well as to street maintenance. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on September 15 and 17, 2005, <br />and bids were opened on October 6, 2005. Categorical Exemption ER No. 2005-150 will be filed for <br />this project. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The Funding Analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of <br />$899,500 for the project (Exhibit 2). Funds are available in the <br />Community Development Block Grant Fund (account no. 135-149-6631) and <br />the Traffic Congestion Relief Fund (account no. 28-552-6631). <br /> <br />23A-2 <br /> <br />. <br />
