<br />this Agreement shall be changed or <br />deemed to have been changed by reason <br />of such payment. However, such <br />incentive payment is PERSable. <br /> <br />iii. Performance increase and/or monetary <br />payment amounts for Fire Management <br />Group A personnel require the approval <br />of the City Manager. <br /> <br />iv. The City Manager shall be responsible <br />for the development and administration <br />of detailed administrative procedures <br />and guidelines for the consistent and <br />effective application of the management <br />performance-based evaluation system. <br />Such procedures and guidelines shall <br />define how performance obj ecti ves, <br />measures and standards are developed; <br />when and how performance reviews are to <br />be carried out; how performance <br />component ratings and composite ratings <br />will be scored; and how performance <br />salary increase and monetary incentive <br />payment options are to be exercised. <br /> <br />B. Fire Management Group B Classes: The following <br />regulations shall govern salary advancement within rate <br />ranges for employees employed in Fire Management Group <br />B classes (Fire Battalion Chief and Fire Communications <br />Manager) <br /> <br />1. For any employee in a Fire Management Group B <br />classification covered by this Agreement who has <br />been initially appointed to a step lower than Step <br />"E," advancement to the next higher step (Step "B" <br />from Step "A" or Step "c" from Step "B," etc.) may be <br />granted only for continued satisfactory and <br />efficient service by said employee in the effective <br />performance of the duties of his or her position. <br />The effective date of such step increase, if <br />granted, shall be the first day of the month <br />following the completion of one year of service at <br />the step from which said employee is being <br />advanced. <br /> <br />14 <br />
