<br />after twenty-five (25) years or more of service (Article <br />XI, Section 11.IK) of a deceased retiree's cash share of <br />contributions made to a post-retirement health insurance <br />premium continuation account (Article XI, Section II.lK, <br />Subsection 2 a.i.), new members of the Association <br />appointed on or after July 1, 1987, will not have the <br />"right" enj oyed by a current member who might become <br />disabled to defer his disability retirement date until <br />after all accrued sick leave has been exhausted rather <br />than accepting an up-front lump sum payment in lieu <br />thereof and an earlier retirement date but will be <br />required to accept a lump sum payment for any unused sick <br />leave in lieu of deferring his/her disability retirement <br />date until after all accrued sick leave has been <br />exhausted. <br /> <br />11.10 <br /> <br />Administrative Leave Policy. The City Manager is <br />authorized to grant, at his or her discretion, paid or <br />unpaid administrative leave for employees covered by this <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />11.11 <br /> <br />Catastrophic Leave Donation. In order to assist <br />employees otherwise granted leave of absence without pay <br />by the City Manager because of a catastrophic non- <br />industrial medical condition or injury, the City and the <br />Association agree to implement a Catastrophic Leave <br />Donation Procedure. <br /> <br />Nothing herein shall be construed to alter City policies <br />and procedures as provided in the Charter or ordinances <br />of the City of Santa Ana or other provisions of this <br />Agreement with regard to granting unpaid leaves of <br />absence. <br /> <br />A. Guidelines. <br />under this <br />taxation for <br /> <br />It shall be understood that all donations <br />procedure are voluntary and subject to <br />the recipient. <br /> <br />1. Employees may donate vacation time or one in-lieu <br />holiday to the eligible employee. In no event shall <br />sick leave be donated. <br /> <br />2. Employees shall be provided a two-week period to <br />submit donations. Donations received after this two- <br />week period shall not be processed.
