GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />The following is included as an attachment to the basic contract and must be complied <br />with by Contractor. <br />2.1 Contractor shall furnish employee identification cards for those employees <br />working pursuant to this Agreement. Employees will be required to <br />conspicuously wear such identification cards whenever so working. <br />2.2 Contractor shall maintain atwenty-four (24) hour, seven (7} day a week telephone <br />and facsimile machine service and shall respond within two (2) hours to clean up <br />any work left undone after the City notifies the Contractor of failure to perform. <br />The City will notify the Contractor by facsimile of any and all failures to comply <br />with this procedure. <br />2.3 Contractor shall designate in writing to the City, the name of the person who will <br />officially represent the Contractor, and be responsible for communication between <br />the City and the Contractor. <br />2.4 In the event City requires a change in the scope of the work set out in this <br />Agreement, for example, by reduction or addition of facilities, or by an increase <br />or decrease in the work required by this Agreement, or by special cleaning <br />requirements not anticipated, the Contractor shall provide the services at an <br />hourly rate for labor and materials or on a unit price basis. Such rate of charge <br />shall be calculated based on present level of service cleaning six streets at a cost <br />of $770.00 per night. <br />2.5 Contractor agrees that the services covered by this Agreement shall be performed <br />by carefully selected and efficient employees in conformity with accepted steam <br />cleaning and pressuring washing standards and practices. Contractor further <br />agrees to provide City with a steady and dependable work force. Employee <br />turnover will be kept to a minimum. <br />2.6 When an employee leaves the service of the Contractor, Contractor shall notify <br />City within twenty-four (24) hours. <br />2.9 Contractor's employees shall not use alcoholic beverages or narcotics while <br />working pursuant to this Agreement. Persons that are under the influence of <br />alcohol or narcotics shall be denied work <br />2. ] 0 Contractor shall provide all cleaning appliances, utensils, equipment, etc. All <br />non-disposable items will remain on the premises for the duration of this contract. <br />2. I ] Contractor will provide all prescribed services to approximately 33 blocks of the <br />downtown area. Attachment 1 lists the exact blocks/spaces within the downtown <br />area that are covered by this Agreement. <br />
