The DDS has a record
of which cities you are authorized to work. If your vehicle is not permitted to work a
certain part of the county, you will not be able to book in or receive calls.
IV. Uniform Requirements
A Taxi Cab drivers are urged to follow a dress code. This policy is not only
conditional for our Anaheim Franchise agreement and other contracts, but makes
sense when you are in a highly competitive customer service business. You will also
find that a uniform conveys a sense of professionalism to your passengers. The
uniform is the key, a standard that impresses much upon your customer's perceptions.
Most passengers have a stereo type of drivers; that being a negative, drab and
unpleasant image. The key to excellence in Customer Service is often this first
impression that you set upon them.
A Taxi Cab drivers are urged to wear a white dress shirt with black dress slacks. A
red or maroon tie is also recommended along with black socks and black shoes to
complete the image of an A Taxi Cab driver. The complete ensemble creates much
pride and professionalism that passengers can relate to.
The end result is that you will put your passenger at ease and allowing the rest of the
trip to be a positive experience. Passengers who can remark as to the difference from
what they expected as to what they received, often choose to order again from us,
regardless of location or trouble that may be presented. Passengers will be
comfortable, apt to be more conversational, and inclined to tip better. As you are in
the customer service industry, up to 20% of your daily gross receipts can come from
tipping.
The long term benefit to the company and to you is customer loyalty. Just compare
the stereotypical image of a dirty, unkempt taxi driver, to an A Taxi Cab driver and
you will the reason for our continuing dominance in the transportation industry.
Uniforms are required, although you should be inclined to wear one on the merits of
doing so. Road supervisors patrol the airport, major stands, and respond to your calls
to maintain a watchfull eye for violators. First violation is suspension of driving
priveledges for 24 hours. Second violation is treated as a terminable offense.
(Photos Attached of Driver's in Uniform)
