Consent Calendar Review <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed concerns with respect to Consent Calendar Items. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset inquired as to the benefit accrued to the City since <br />Council approval of physical examinations for sworn Fire Department <br />personnel (Agenda Item 3.A.), and inquired as to whether the examinations <br />were still required by Statute since the demise of CAL-OSHA. The City <br />Manager indicated staff would investigate and provide a report to Council <br />on the matter. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor McGuigan requested that Item 16.C., Report on the Crime <br />Prevention Program for Illegal Discharge of Firearms, be deferred until <br />the Evening Session, in order that the television audience might be <br />apprised of the results of the Program. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor McGuigan also suggested that the Public Safety Con~nittee review <br />the impacts of the County's decision to not permit release of prisoners at <br />at the Coal-Gypsum site.
