Councilmember Norton asked for clarification of City policy in the matter <br />of a one bid response. <br /> <br />Mayor Young advised the Council that a resolution of Council position on a <br />sales tax measure being placed on the next election ballot would be placed <br />on the afternoon session of the next agenda. He offered to answer any <br />questions related to this resolution. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO DINNER - ROOM 831 - 5:33 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 7:09 P.M. - All Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that in light of the overflow crowd in attendance, he <br />would take testimony limited to fifteen minutes from each side of the <br />issue of the issuance of a permit for the use of Centennial Park following <br />the Presentations portion of the agenda. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Recognition of the Orange County <br />Coalition of Immigrants Rights, <br />represented by Robin Blackwell, for <br />donation of a portrait camera to <br />Recreation and Community Services <br />Agency, Corbin Center, represented by <br />Evelyn Becktell, presented by <br />COUNCILMEMBER GRISET. <br /> <br />Proclamation recognizing national "Days <br />of Remembrance," presented by <br />COUNCILMEMBER NORTON to Jewish <br />Federation of Orange County <br />representative, Shelly Friedman and <br />Mariann Fink, Chairperson of the <br />Holocaust Awareness Commission. <br /> <br />OFF AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br />USE OF CENTENNIAL PARK - ORANGE COUNTY PRIDE FESTIVAL & PARADE <br /> <br />The following persons spoke in favor of permitting the use of the park: <br /> <br />Janet Avery, 14 Birchwood Lane, Laguna Beach <br />John Duran, French Park, Civil Rights Attorney <br />Judy Runels, 2351 N.
