.
,

@1HEPACIFICINSTITUTE"

February 4, 2002

Dear Anabell,

My colleagues and I are thrilled with the opportunity to bring the concepts and tools of The
Pacific Institute (TPI) to the youth of Santa Ana. And equally excited with the chance to give
your members another, fuller exposition of how these principles can change lives.

Attached is general information on TPI and an outline of the specific that event we have
discussed. I have been in touch with Mike Lucey, Luis Flores and Antowaine Richardson, who
would be our key facilitator, and they are all eager to mark their calendars.

Again, we're truly looking forward to this event and see it as a great introduction to the Pacific
Institute and the power of this knowledge in a particular and wonderful way on youth. It must be
that their habits are not yet as ingrained as with adults, but the affect the concepts can have, the
ease and commitment to the tools and exercises that bring about lasting change, seem to be much
higher in adolescents and young adults.

But, I want to caution that we see this event as only an introduction. It is of course the work of
the various member agencies to have the sustained positive effect that changes lives and we look
forward to working with those organizations to help in that effort.

I'll call to confirm receipt and answer any questions.

Thank you,

Chris Scaffidi
Project Director
978-762-0933
crsscaffidi@aol.com
