Carl Barnes, 814 E. Third Street, spoke in opposition to the Alcoholic <br />Beverage Control License amendment for 719 E. Fourth Street. He also <br />expressed opposition to expending public money for the Santa Ana Arena, <br />and urged the Council to cooperate with the City of Anaheim regarding <br />additional jail facilities. <br /> <br />Coween Dickerson, 3941 S. Bristol, #E-50, accepted the Mayor's apology <br />regarding the length of time she was permitted to speak at a previous <br />Council meeting, and expressed her thanks to Pat Whitaker, Housing <br />Manager, for assistance in solving her loan problem. <br /> <br />Dee Runnells, 1213 S. Parton, reported to the Mayor that in her opinion <br />the L.A. Times survey relative to crime in Santa Ana had not been <br />constructed well, producing distorted results. <br /> <br />John Raya, 4618 W. Hollyline, expressed his opposition to granting an <br />operating expense subsidy to the developers of Santa Ana Sports Arena. <br /> <br />Richard Moser, 1923 W. Seventeenth Street, complimented the <br />Councilmembers on their individual performances, and introduced his <br />candidacy for the Mayor's position in the November election. <br /> <br />90.C. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Norton noted that tod~y was the opening of nominations for <br />the positions of Councilmember and Mayor, and encouraged those wishing to <br />do so to run for office. He expressed concern regarding the proposed <br />agreement which would provide a loan to the developers of the Sports <br />Arena, and encouraged attendance at the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 1990. <br /> <br />99.A. ABC LICENSE HEARING - 3338 S.
