VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, May, McGuigan, Norton, Pulido, <br />Young <br />None <br />None FILE 625.15 <br /> <br />In response to Mayor Pro Tem Acosta's inquiry, the City Manager indicated <br />that the ban on overnight street parking would be forwarded to the <br />Council on either August 20 or September 4, 1990 for consideration. <br /> <br />In response to his question concerning an ordinance calling for voluntary <br />water conservation, the Manager indicated that item would be on the <br />August 6, 1990 agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Acosta requested that the City investigate the possible ban <br />of outside storage on balconies. The City Attorney indicated he was <br />exploring that matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Acosta clarified no fees were required to run for public <br />office, and inclusion of a candidate statement in the voter pamphlet <br />which requires the candidate to reimburse the City for publication <br />expense was optional. <br /> <br />Councilmember May reported he had met with shopping center owners and had <br />requested staff prepare a draft ordinance which would require permits for <br />individuals soliciting funds in shopping centers. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - 10:43 P.M. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council announced the City Council was recessing to <br />Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a), 54957 and <br />54957.6 to continue discussion of Closed Session items from the Afternoon <br />Session of the Council. <br /> <br />11:00 P.M. - Councilmember Norton left the meeting. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT - ll:lO P.M. <br /> <br />C~len~r~ of theYcouncil ~/ <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 231 JULY 16, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
