<br />~ <br /> <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ON <br />MAIN STREET DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />August 20, 2003 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting convened at 7:27 a.m. in City Hall, Room 831, 20 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br />City Council Committee Members present were: Councilmember Lisa Bist and <br />Councilmember Jose Solorio. Absent was: Councilmember Claudia Alvarez. <br /> <br />Staff members present were: City Attorney Joe Fletcher, Community Development <br />Agency Executive Director John P. Reekstin, Downtown Development Manager Matt <br />Lamb, Engineering Services Manager George Alvarez and Associate Planner Bob SI. <br />Paul. <br /> <br />"'" <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - July 16, 2003 <br /> <br />Action: The minutes were approved 2:0 (Alvarez absent). <br /> <br />2. PROPOSED CODE ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS <br /> <br />Bob St. Paul reported the following: <br /> <br />. 2700 S. Main - A Notice of Violation was issued for the fence, with a <br />compliance date of August 31, 2003. There had been no change as of <br />August 17. <br />. 2717 S. Main - A Notice of Violation was issued to address the painted sign <br />that was visible from Dyer, and the window signage in excess of 25 percent. <br />All other signs had been permitted, including the signage on the awnings. As <br />of August 17, 2003, the window signage had been removed. If new signs are <br />painted on the windows in excess of 25 percent, a fine will be assessed. The <br />wall sign is still pending. <br /> <br />~ <br />
