<br />2 <br /> <br />5. CRUISING ENFORCEMENT UPDATE <br />Lt. Caddell reviewed the Anti-Cruising Plan for 2005. The plan consists of <br />three phases: Education, Enforcement and Environmental Design. The <br />Police Department has developed an operational plan to incrementally <br />deal with cruising activity based on the amount of activity and associated <br />harms to the community. <br /> <br />6. CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAM FOR CHURCHES <br />Lt. Valentin explained his plan to establish a gang-free zone grant. The <br />grant has been applied for and the Police Department will be working with <br />Summit School to provide crime prevention awareness. Pastors are being <br />contacted to bring to the Department's attention when crimes are being <br />committed at the churches. A follow-up meeting with the Pastors has <br />been scheduled for June 2, 2005. <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />There were no public comments. <br /> <br />a.
